It looks like Colin Farrell is back to his best.

The Irish actor (38) has spent the last few months looking virtually unrecognisable due to his True Detective role, but thanks to a cleanly shaved face and hours at the gym, he's back to his old self once again.

Farrell is currently in the South of France promoting his new Irish-shot film, The Lobster, alongside Rachel Weisz at the Cannes Film Festival.

And the Dolce & Gabbana model looked like he stepped out of a high fashion campaign during a photocall this morning ahead of tonight's premiere.

The Dubliner, who is enjoying a career resurgence, credits his physique to a newly healthy lifestyle and an obsession with green juices.

"I drink almost my body weight in it," he told Conde Nast Traveller. And saunas for some healthy chill-out time,” Colin said.

“There is a Russian bathhouse that I go to in Los Angeles. It’s a nice way to kill a couple of hours because life can be hectic. To go somewhere for a while and sit in a quiet space, it’s therapeutic."

He also frequents a bikram yoga studio in Dublin city centre during his time on our shores.
