Our Outreach Team (made up of Ryan, Vanessa, Katherine, & Katherine's service dog Daisy) are visiting every New York City Fire Department (FDNY) firehouse and attending fraternal and union meetings throughout the city in an effort to raise awareness of the confidential, independent, and free counseling and wellness services Friends of Firefighters provides to active and retired FDNY firefighters and their family members. Today is International Firefighters' Day, when we recognize the dedication and sacrifice of firefighters around the world, including our own New York City Fire Department (FDNY). FoF does this by identifying needs of NYC firefighters and their families and meeting them by providing free counseling and wellness services.
