Love is in the air! Charlize Theron sizzles in mesh dress as she poses with Sean Penn at Mad Max premiere... after admitting tension in relationship

Charlize Theron looked a far cry from the tough road warrior character she plays in Mad Max: Fury Road.
Instead, the 39-year-old made a glamorous appearance for her movie's premiere wearing a mesh dress that flattered her svelte curves in Hollywood on Thursday.
By the blonde's side was her beau Sean Penn showed his tender side by secretly locking hands with his sweetheart behind her back as they posed for photos. The affectionate display comes after Charlize revealed that Sean was challenging during their collaboration on a forthcoming movie.

Yet at the movie premiere there was no bad chemistry between the couple of nearly one year. 
The South African stunner was styled to perfection in a knee-length mesh column dress that featured a white bodice and black drop-waist skirt.
Strappy black heels, a black clutch and blinding Harry Winston diamonds completed the look. A splash of pink lipstick and a smokey eye made the look all the more smoldering.
Milk actor Sean was dressed in all black in a sharp suit. 
Co-starring Tom Hardy, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Riley Keough, Zoë Kravitz, Abbey Lee, and Courtney Eaton, Mad Max: Fury Road will hit theaters on May 15.

Nearly 12 years ago, the acclaimed actors won their first Oscar statues on the same night - Charlize for Monster and Sean for Mystic River. 
However, things turned romantic for the longtime friends early last year. It was a time when they began working together on the forthcoming film drama The Last Face, shot in Charlize's native South Africa. 
Sean directed the film, which stars Javier Bardem as her love interest, and actors Adèle Exarchopoulos and Jean Reno.

Charlize recently told Extra: 'The story of The Last Face is really, at its core, just a beautiful love story, so to do that with somebody you’re in love with, there’s something really powerful in that.
'It could also make it very, very difficult, yeah, but that’s good. That’s not a bad thing because it makes you really explore all of it, you know.' 
Speaking to Elle for its June issue, of which she is featured on the cover, she revealed that her professional and personal life collided with Sean.

'There were times when I was incredibly unfair to him. And moments where I felt like… he was incredibly unfair to me,' she said.
'But it makes you realise that no matter how complicated it gets the priority is the relationship.'
Charlize, a mother of one to son Jackson – who she adopted in 2012 – also praised Penn, her first serious partner following her separation from actor-director Stuart Townsend. 
She added: 'Putting aside that he's my partner, he's the love of my life. For the first time I felt my work was bleeding into my life and that made it hard.'
