Pottery Barn Kids

The Pottery Barn KIDS? Well that sounds interesting...let us hope there are some reviews

Yes, and they go way back with a good number of thumbs down reviews..these are more recent and seem more middle of the road...with some real gripes about customer service still.. Cannot really recommend this place, though, having no experience of it myself

Ah, kids are so lucky now to have such high end furniture/toy shops dedicated to indulging them and their parents. I love their play kitchen accessories because they look like a miniature version of the real thing! And the play food items are made from fabric materials as opposed to plastic. That being said, there aren't a ton of toys here as much of the items are related to stylish furniture pieces and other related accessories.

The staff are pretty friendly and will offer to gift wrap items at no charge just to add that special touch.

The store is clean enough, but it's not very big, which is problematic since it's the only Pottery Barn Kids in Manhattan. They didn't have the crib (or any other furniture) I was looking for, because the floor isn't big enough to accommodate all the furniture that's offered in the catalog.

The sales associate I spoke with was very nice, but it seemed like it was her first day there. She wasn't able to answer any of my questions, and when she went to check to find out anything I asked her, she was gone for extended periods of time.

When she gave me a scanner to continue my registry, I found that there really was very little in the store that was worth even considering. Ultimately, I canceled the registry that I DID start with them, because after doing some research (on Yelp and other websites), I discovered disturbing accounts about their business, including poor customer service (which I wasn't surprised about given my limited experience), bed bugs in the furniture, and the fact that Pottery Barn Kids isn't registered with the BBB. Considering how expensive their products are, I couldn't really justify purchasing so many pieces for my son's room with

It'll be a little less convenient to find another baby furniture store, but I'd rather hold out for something that's highly reputable (by business and consumer standards) than just going with something easy.

Just received the Fillmore Fixed Gate Crib in Simply White as a gift from our baby registry. I can't wait until Hub is done with assembling the crib. It is going to look absolutely gorgeous in our baby nursery. I can't wait to put the bedding set with it.  Per their website, the crib is no longer available online except in stores. I'm so glad we got the chance to add it on our registry before the item sold out.

I was just there this evening to complete  some Holiday shopping with my mom and the experience for both of us was rather dreadful.
First of all - we stayed a way longer than we anticipated ( and we walked in there knowing Exactly what we wanted!) There was no one there to assist us,answer  simple question about quilts and sheets,  and even when we were able to get someone's attention, that person would seems either puzzled , absent or  " not sure" how to answer the simple question, or suggesting us " to read the cover of the sheet's packaging " to get the information..?!?
To add to above that my husband and I purchased a bed and a mattress  only a couple weeks ago from this store, and the sales person withheld the information about the sale that is going on now -btw 15-30% discounted on all beds in the store.
We asked about the sale when we were there and the s. associate again " was not sure about when it would be". As someone who worked in high end retail- I doubt she didn't know by then the exact date of when the sale should began.  In the meantime the bed we purchased is not even delivered yet- that alone will explain how recent our purchase was.
Additionally, the current holiday sale  is very unclear as the sign of " 20% of discount" is placed all over the store , but  doesn't say specifically what exactly it is applying  to.
At the end my bill  showed 90 % of the variety  goods purchased - was  payed in the full price.
When I asked about it- the sales person brought me to the computer and started showing me ( online) the specific "patterns" of the certain items that would be discounted , and I thought that was really funny.
I thought of the entire way the things were being managed there- to look rather disorganized if not even a bit  ridicules.
I felt a bit tired when I left the store.
The sales associate were not the nicest one I met either.

Lots of really cute stuff but the quality is so so. Kids are hard on furniture and you want to buy quality. This store's furniture looks good but is too big for Manhattan apartments (unless you live in a townhouse or huge apartment) and isn't great quality.

If you want to window shop for pretty furniture, this is your place.

I have mixed feelings on this place. I have been meaning to write a review for months. My first experience was at least 4 stars worthy - possibly five. I had to get a coworker a baby gift and i need it THAT NIGHT. I call the store and was told that it closed in 20 minutes. now way i could get there. they found my item on the registry, wrapped it and took payment over the phone and then when i arrived after closing, someone met me at the back door and gave me my present, with a sweet note attached explaining that she took off the price etc. really saved my butt.

I went in last week and this place wasn't even that busy, but the sales people seemed overwhelmed, the store was a little messy and the merchandise is impossible to find. most of it seems to be in back, as the store is more of a display rather that shelves of boxes. that's fine, except it took me  ten minutes to get someone to even get me what i needed, but when they did they were sweet so - i am over it. i am sure i will be back. seems like everyone is pregnant.

Made a special trip to buy a birthday present for a cousin.  Mind you, I don't have kids, nor do I wany any for a lonnng time.  This place was a zoo...  a madhouse.  Kids running around.  Strollers every which way.  Pregnant UES'ers in every nook and cranny.  I felt claustrophobic.

BUT, I do have to say... There must be a reason why this store was packed with doting parents...  This place has an amazing/stylish selection of furniture, toys, and gifts.  Would highly recommend for anyone has the patience OR the need to shop for kids.

They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life.  Customer service rep was incompetent, provided zero solutions and just kept saying nothing they can do.
I ordered a ceramic bowl online for my niece with her name on it (personalized) and was told i could NOT do this in stores, they don't personalize in store.  So I had to buy it online.  During the checkout process it said estimated arrival date (one week from order) which was fine with me.  I get the order confirmation.  After one week goes by I check on the status and the item has yet to be shipped?? I call customer service and they tell me it wont ship out for another month. A MONTH?  are you kidding me?  I was told I was suppose to *ignore* the estimated arrival date and that there was some SMALL print that I "must" have missed about it taking a month.  Nothing in my records, on my receipt etc said anything about this.  Asking if there is anything they can do to make it ship out quicker, and NOPE nothing they can do because it is with on outside vendor, so essentially Pottery Barn Kids is just acting as a middle man.  Asked about refund and was told that there are no refunds for personalized items.  All they could do place a "request" for cancelling (clearly they didnt start on this order 1 1/2 wk later) but NO guarantee if I would get a refund.
Utter incompetence, lack of customer service and horrible experience.  Will NEVER EVER EVER order from this company again.

Cute stuff, decent prices.  While I'm not a fan of Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids seems to have more original looking stuff at better prices.
