Pretty solid thumbs up with some reservations...there were more reviews, I saw a sour apple in there, so not EVERYBODY is happy with this place

Manhattan, NYI LOVE the Amish Market! I've been going there for years and have never been disappointed. A little on the pricey side but well worth it. The super market side of the store has a fresh variety of fruits and vegetables, an assortment of cheeses, and an array of products you didn't know existed but once you discover them you want to try.
In the mornings and afternoons they have both a hot and cold pay by the pound food stations. The morning cold station has fresh fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese, and a variety of toppings. It also has an area for pastries, bagels, and muffins. The yogurt parfait and lemon poppy almond muffins are my favorites! The hot bar has eggs, potatoes, meats, etc. The afternoon food stations have cold salads, and an often changing selection of hot entrees. You never have to worry about the food sitting out for long because people are constantly getting their food from there so they trays of food are replaced often.
PLUS they have a full deli, custom salad station, custom pizza and sandwich area, and indoor seating. No matter what you have a taste for, you can find it there and you won't regret it. -

Denver, COWow~ for a market in this locale and the depth of selection is pretty impressive.
The front is the grabber. It gets you at 'hello' with desserts & coffee.
Not entirely sure that this is an Amish Market as opposed to Amish Style Market??
Just the bent to the left is a 'wow's me' fresh fruit selection. All beautiful in color & staging. The fresh figs now are a must buy~ for fig lovers. The sliced cut watermelon package only the loin pieces~ so, it's going to be sweet & juicy.
The meat & fish is far superior than that of Fairway~ sorry Fairway for I am an avid fan....and stock holder.
Olive bar makes me cry as I now reside in Denver and to no avail shall I find this :(.
If I lived in this neighborhood, this would be my go to ninja market. Yep~ quite impressive. Pricing is more doable than that of the 'Treehaus Market.'
The cooked selection smells good & the place is clean & service plentiful.
Their lavatory~ yes, a lavatory.... clean enough. And lots of help all around to attend.
Alas, it was the raspberry/apricot bar we got along with the Mississippi Mud Brownie that hit the table with us for our afternoon coffee & tea fete. Coffee had nice frothy milk. My tea, straightforward. Bar cookie, you could taste the butter in it. The Brownie is dense, rich with notes of espresso. We could only eat half of it. Not overly sweet. Texture closer to that of fudge~ something the Amish is known for.
Will revisit on my next trip back to NYC. -

Manhattan, NYLove this place! It's like a miniature Fairway, but with some cheaper prices. Not everything is cheaper than Fairway, most of the prices are pretty comparable, but there are a few things here and there.
This place has more of a mom and pop feel to it even though it's fairly large. The staff is always pleasant and the selection of food is pretty good. Mostly health-conscious foods, organic items, etc.
You can tell that everything is fresh here (unlike the d'ags of nyc). They have the normal fruits, veggies, grains, etc. Fresh fish and meats in the downstairs part of the store. They also have a pretty big cheese section as well as a decent sized olive section. I've seen fresh sushi and there's a hot buffet bar for the lunch crowd near the registers. Apparently they also have pizza here that is made on site.. have yet to see it though. I think that's more of a lunch crowd thing.
If you're looking for a good place to get your groceries for the week and don't feel like spending a fortune on food that is iffy from other supermarkets, this is your hidden gem! -

excellent coffee. I like their selection of market produce. Salad bar has variety. I like their cakes and coffee and raisin pecan whole wheat roll and there is a small olive bread also very good. I've been going there 8years now. Love it. -

Hoboken, NJDecent gourmet food market and lunch spot in midtown. When I used to eat gluten, the sandwiches and pizzas were really great. I havent eaten them in a while, but I imagine they are still good. The soup selection is decent and the salad bar/ hot food is fresh and delicious. -

New York, NYIt's alright. The pay by oz buffet bar has variety but flavor wise is only ok. It tastes homemade, but nothing compared to grandma's. Not sure what the rave is, just wasn't too into the flavors. Maybe its the groceries? But for a midtown lunch, it's par. -

Man, I'm actually kinda glad my office is a tad too far to Amish Market to make it a typical choice (we don't really have a lunch break, so our hunt shouldn't take more than 15 minutes). Also, their price tags match their gourmet quality. Bad for my business, bad for my wallet.
Regardless, I trek out here maybe once a month because I absolutely love their sandwich selection. Fresh sliced PREMIUM imported deli meats, amazing rolls. Ugh. So good. Their hot bar is also top notch, fresh selections every day. Their brick oven pizzas and sandwiches are spectacular. You can't go wrong. -

Mineola, NYI had been to the store on 9th avenue a long time ago, but this one seemed bigger and WAY better. Cheese varieties are phenomenal. There were also a lot of Turkish products and seemed to be many more vegetarian frozen foods/deli items than at the other ocation. I had wanted a light, pre-dance supper and for about 6 bucks had a 1/3 lb slab of smoked goat gouda and nearly a pound of fresh cut papaya chunks.
As much as I like to eat seasonally/locally, sometimes it's nice to have mid-winter tropical fruit!! That was an ideal meal.
OH so many cheeses tempt me---I will certainly return...
