Music Festival

Saturday 8/27 2pm @ The Hills
Led by percussionist and Music Director Amy Garapic, more than 70 percussionists will come together to perform John Luther Adams’s “Inuksuit,” an epic outdoor piece that has helped to redefine what live musical experience can be in the 21st-century. MORE INFO

Jewish Picnic

Sunday 8/28 from 11am - 3pm

Free Kayaking Returns

Wednesday 8/31 11:30am - 4pm
Kayaking is back on Governors Island! Join the Friends of Governors Island for a ribbon cutting at the new kayak dock with Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer. Then enjoy an afternoon of free kayaking courtesy of the Downtown Boathouse. The free kayak program will continue on Saturdays through mid-September. MORE INFO & RSVP
