Lawrence --

Tomorrow my office will be hosting the 3rd Annual Back-to-School Block Party! Join us on Thursday, August 25th, from 5-8pm at 141st Street (between Hamilton Place and Amsterdam Avenue).Â

Among the many activities for kids, there will be a bounce house, basketball hoops, balloon twister, face painting, take-home arts-making activities for the youth, and a FDNY fire truck!

Parents will have the opportunity to learn about important educational resources such as a school directory, a listing of available after-school programs, fresh food options, and educational activities from the Department of Education, CUNY Fatherhood Academy, Boys and Girls Club of Harlem, Children’s Museum of Manhattan, and many more. Â

There will also be FREE giveaways including book bags, museum tickets, books, and library cards.  The first 100 attendees will receive two FREE American Museum of Natural History tickets per household.

To RSVP, please click here or call 212-928-6814.

I hope to see you all!
