NYC DOT's Urban Art Program seeks submissions from artists for their Barrier Beautification. The application deadline is February 24, 2012. Selected artists are granted up to $2,500 and will have the support of volunteers for project implementation on April 21, 2012. 
Art is integral to DOT goal of world class streets. Artists help to transform the landscape from ordinary to extraordinary with temporary, unexpected interventions - colorful murals, dynamic light projections, thought-provoking sculptures.
