Just in time for the 9/11 anniversary, Chinese artist Yi Yang has finished his tribute to the 343 firefighters and paramedics who died at Ground Zero. Working in his small apartment in Flushing, Queens, he took five years to create the five-canvass painting of portraits. A memorial wall commemorating FDNY members who died from 9/11-related illnesses grew by 21 names Tuesday as department officials recognized those who took the risks without hesitation. Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro unveiled the names added to the World Trade Center Memorial Wall at FDNY headquarters in Brooklyn.
