At East Coast GRC: Low Thia Khiang's wife tells ST's Kor Kian Beng that she made two red hard-boiled eggs for the WP chief on his birthday on Saturday (Sept 5). Usually the family would go out for birthday dinner with birthday cake, she said. "But this year there's no time."

Police responds to defaced posters: In response to media queries about defaced election posters, the police has said that three men, aged between 20 and 36 years old, are assisting with investigations into the cases.
It is an offence for any person to alter, remove, destroy, obliterate or deface any election posters or banners under the Parliamentary Elections Act.
The punishment for such an offence is a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months. http://str.sg/Z8H2

GE2015: No deficit in Pasir Ris-Punggol town council accounts: PAP
The Pasir Ris-Punggol Town Council has swiftly refuted allegations by the Workers' Party (WP) that the town council suffered a deficit of about $282,000 in 2013. The WP had charged that the town council suffered a deficit at a rally at Punggol East on Saturday night. Story here
