NYPD EXPLORERS PROMOTING LITERACY WITH YOUTH IN MANHATTAN
NYPD Explorers from the 30 Precinct in Hamilton Heights recently teamed with Literacy Inc. in Jacob Schiff Park to promote early childhood literacy. Law Enforcement Explorers are part of a career-oriented NYPD program designed to educate young men and women, ages 14-20, about Law Enforcement while helping them develop a sense of leadership, service, and community.
Throughout the event the precinct Explorers demonstrated a willingness and joy to help with the education and success of our youngest community members.

Pope Blesses True Crime Fighter

Detective McGhee and his colleagues on the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force keep New York City and America safe for all. Detective McGhee needs a wheelchair to get around due to a spinal injury, however he never misses a day of work. Described by friends and fellow crime fighters as only one thing – “relentless.” “That’s what drives us to get out of bed every morning — knowing you’ll have some sort of impact, that you will make a contribution,” says Detective McGhee.
