This is part of the "unthinkable", note the investigators, but "some people - including children - have died of starvation, dehydration" in the seats. Mr Pinheiro also denounced the "indiscriminate attacks" "deliberate" conducted in a manner by all parties in conflict against areas inhabited by civilians.

Investigators also deplore the dropping explosives from aircraft and government helicopters on areas north and east of Aleppo governorate, highly populated areas.
Syria is ravaged for over four years by a complex conflict involving government, rebels and Kurdish jihadists who attempt to arrogate swathes of territory. More than 230 000 people perished, according to the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (OSDH). The conflict has thrown millions of Syrians on the street or on the roads of exile.
