A resolution regarding a proposed revision to the existing memorandum of understanding between Fulton and the Local 2945 International Association of Firefighters was voted against 5-1 Tuesday night.

  • Tom Wigmore I've been trying to get on w/ the federal service for a year now. I have a fire academy, paramedic license, combat veteran, 911 experience. However they require only DOD, IFSAC, or proboard certs. Wish I could join but I'm apparently not qualified.

  • Jarrad Smith It's unbelievable the cost associated with this now simply because the elected officials and city managers don't do their jobs right from year to year. I know I've never missed a pension contribution deduction from my paycheck, and I'm willing to be neither did the NO firefighters effected by this.
  • Mary Lou Jennings Gilliam Good luck NOFD on getting your money. Just look at Scranton (Pa) FD and their suit against the City of Scranton. They have won many court battles and are still waiting on payout now going on a couple years. The interest keeps adding onto the total amount, but the city hasn't the funds to pay them. Another promise made a couple months ago and still no payout.
