Presented by
 THE EmpathyWorks PROJECT
Empathy Training Validation Research Study

CHRISTOPHER SCOTT, LCSW, CGP
  • Find out your EmQ (Empathy Quotient).
  • Participate in a multifaceted research project.
  • Play Empathy Games and enhance your empathy skills.
Please join us for a customized presentation of "Creating the WE Space," a fun, easy-to-grasp empathy skills training program that deconstructs empathy and provides practical tools to help enhance your empathic ability.

Be one of the first to participate in our research study being conducted with the TIMH Couple Program to determine the efficacy of the empathy skills training, using a new performance-based, non-self-reporting empathy measure, the "EmQ" empathy quotient.

If you will be joining us for the workshop, it is very important that you complete the online survey "Bagging Groceries," before attending the workshop (link below).  Thank you!
ABOUT EmQ 1 "Bagging Groceries"

The EmQ is a performance-based measure of empathic accuracy, and is designed to evaluate the subject’s ability to accurately tune in to and assess what others are feeling in-the-moment.

How the EmQ Works (Please read this...)
  • Online Survey  To complete EmQ1 "Bagging groceries," click on the link below. Please complete the survey BEFORE attending the workshop. EmQ2 "Boss's Dinner" will be completed at the end of the workshop.
  • Videos/Q&A  The EmQ uses short, scripted videos. We ask you to evaluate the inner experience of each individual in the vignette, then answer questions about what you think the characters are feeling and the emotional impact they are having on each other.
  • Scoring  Your personal EmQ score is tabulated using the “best answers” provided by a panel of expert psychotherapists and psychoanalysts. While there is no perfect or “correct” answer, your answers are compared to the experts' answers and scored accordingly.
  • Timing – There are 47 questions in the survey.  Some will be easy for you to answer and some may take a little more time for you to make a thoughtful decision.
  • Confidentiality  Your answers and score will be completely confidential. Our purpose is to compile aggregate data, and we ask for your name and email address only to track improvement. Your information will not be shared with anyone else.
