2 Hit, Critically Injured by Car in Flushing: FDNY

Two people were critically injured when they were hit by a vehicle in Flushing, Queens, authorities say.
The FDNY said the victims were struck near 162nd Street and Station Road at about 5:30 p.m.
They were taken to New York Hospital Booth Memorial in critical condition.
Photos tweeted by the NYPD 109th Precinct showed an SUV on the sidewalk against a wall supporting the Long Island Rail Road overpass, with a mangled bicycle nearby. The Broadway station of the Port Washington branch is located at the intersection.
The NYPD Highway unit is investigating.
