Buenos Aires province governor and presidential hopeful for the ruling Victory Front Daniel Scioli has promised to create a Human Rights Ministry if he is elected in the upcoming elections.
“We are going to create a Human Rights Ministry,” said Scioli during a rally in Neuquén province, assuring the continuity of the importance given to human rights policies during the Kirchner years.
Scioli added that, thanks to Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Kirchner’s administrations, the Argentine economy overcame its worst nightmares, and stressed voters will now go to the polls amid a thriving economical scenario.
Meanwhile, the PRO party presidential hopeful and Buenos Aires city Mayor Mauricio Macri met with Buenos Aires province neighbors in Lomas de Zamora, together with BA province governor hopeful for PRO María Eugenia Vidal.
“We have the conviction we can live better, we deserve better. We think Lomas de Zamora needs the infrastructure works they claim, and we came here to talk with the neighbors and spread our ideas,” Macri told reporters.
Sergio Massa, the other presidential candidate with good chances towards the presidential election according to polls, also held a rally in Buenos Aires province and aimed at Macri: “Here, you need to walk the streets, social media ads won’t make any difference,” he said, questioning the PRO party’s propaganda media campaign.
