MY VIDEO; VISIT WITH FIREMEN JJ AND STUART AT ENG 16 L 7 IN KIPS BAY

Kips Bay is known for having one of those Firehouses that are an integral part of the Community..and in this case the pride of the Community as well...There is an historical link between this Firehouse and the nearby Epiphany Church...a number of FDNY FF's who died on September 11 were parishioners at Epiphany..the school kids come to the E16 L7 House for Fire Safety days etc.

There is sadness mixed with the joy here... above, memorial to those lost on September 11;
Ladder 7 was especially hard hit...The chalkboard roster for that day is still up on the wall

below,  Webb  Ellis World Soccer Club Trophy Tour at the Firehouse this year..

This is not to mention the fantastic time everyone had at the Open House celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the FDNY..

HERE IS MY BRIEF INTERVIEW WITH TWO OF THE THE GREAT GUYS AT ENG 16 L 7,

FIREMEN 'J.J.' AND STUART
WHO IT DAWNS ON ME AFTER THE INTERVIEW HAVE BEEN "sending me up" a little during it.. but all in good fun

( I mentioned to them the case of people trapped in strange places because we have just posted the article about the man who stepped on a failing floorboard and fell and  was trapped up to his neck in the grain silo in Minnesota and it took the Rescue crews two hours to get him out..)

I am sure our guys here have seen things just as hairy , but I couldn't coax such stories out of them
I think this was part of their having some fun with me, they knew what I wanted
but weren't going to tell it to me! Wise guys...But Great Guys.

Anyway, our little interview
