Amended Fire Code for New York City
The Fire Department's
three-year Fire Code Revision Project culminated on December 19, 2013,
with the City Council's enactment of an amended Fire Code for New York
City. The legislation, Local Law No. 148 of 2013, was signed by Mayor
Bloomberg on December 30, 2013.
The amended Fire Code
takes effect on March 30, 2014. The text of the amended Fire Code,
