I came at the building from the South, avoiding all the ticket sellers for the observation deck etc.

Just a stroll into the lobby where the big Art Deco bas relief shows that the builders knew they were erecting a landmark

There are lots of YouTube views of NYC from the top of the building (both the open 86th and the enclosed 102nd floors)

While the one at night was tempting, I chose this amateur one of a woman who admits she is afraid of heights and this is a test for her...up on the more or less open 86th Floor, -- I think her amateur approach is fun and charming
