The people who love it cannot understand the bad reviews earlier and there are plenty of disgruntled ex customers, believe me

    First of all, we do not understand most of the negative reviews here.

    We've been shopping at Modani's for the first time back in 2011. The store in NYC looks very modern and nicely organized. It's not a huge furniture store, but if you previously browse their website, you'll get a sound idea of what products they sell.

    We've been helped by Brittany, she was very friendly, attentive and did a fantastic job in consulting as well as the entire order and delivery process.

    Of course, some larger items that they did not have in-store, first had to be ordered, manufactured and delivered. However, wait time was relatively short, as all our items were delivered as promised within two weeks. We ordered almost our entire appartment furniture at Modani's and we are very happy with the quality. You definitely get high quality for what you pay.

    When one item (dining table) was delivered with a damaged edge, it was replaced within two-three weeks with no issues at all. Again, Brittany was very helpful, all was settled for us at no cost.

    After two years, we just bought additional items, again with Brittany. She even remembered us from our first visit two years ago and we're still very happy customers.

    For those of you, who complain about customer service, we can just tell you: What goes around, comes around.

    I Ordered 5 pieces of Lacquer furniture I got my delivery a week ago and just built everything. Beautiful! I looked at another store with similar lacquer furniture and it was 3xs the price and not nearly as nice. I will post a picture as soon as I get the room together. Marie was very helpful with my order. I only ordered one room worth of furniture but I will be ordering much more in the future. I'm very happy with Modani.

    I really don't understand the bad reviews either.  I have shopped here - bought Medusa chandeliers.. I would say about 3 years ago.. and they still look brand new.  People asked if these were Phillipe Starck.  The quality is superb.  They look so expensive, and they are NOT.  Delivery was timely.  they were super nice to us. I love this place, beautiful store, excellent service, I want to go back and buy a bunch of other things now that they have a sale.

    I have been here several times - They will tell me everything is sold out, or wait couple months for delivery not clear about when exactly I can get the items. I was afraid to pay and hold so I didn't. The furnitures look very charming and I still want some items, but reading the reviews here makes me sure that my decision not to buy from here was right.

    I failed to look at the reviews and found after the fact how bad this company is.

    I'm going to keep this short, because the other reviews say it all.

    Unprofessional, rude snot nose little brats, working in a facade of a high end store.

    Delivery is at the same level- I called and emailed the day before to see when the estimated time of delivery was, I received a run around answer. Called again at 7pm, the girl I talked to was rude and cocked an attitude for me asking about confirmation and certificate of insurance, than hung up?

    Over all there is no customer service, it's pathetic.

    The desk is made of shit, it's no different from Ikea, the materials break, I have to utilize other products to keep this desk together. paid $500 for a shitty ikea desk.

    Bottom line, don't go, doesn't matter if it looks good. Bo-concept's material is a LOT reliable, although you have to deal with idiots too, but at least you pay for what you get.

    DO NOT SHOP HERE. I purchased a table, lamp, and chair here. The sales rep, Brittany CLEARLY said we could cancel or add anything to our order up to 4 days before delivery. However, they bury in the fine print that there are no refunds, while the sales reps are extremely disingenuous about it.

    I called to cancel an item and the girl started basically yelling at me told me that "they do not do that."

    It looks like this happens pretty often too. Buyer beware.

    It's amazing that everyone seems to have the same problem with this salesperson, Brittany.
    She was very kind and spent the most time with me while I was confused on what I wanted.
    I came in to browse, and left purchasing an entire living room, and bedroom.

    I requested to pay for half and then half day before delivery, she agreed. I left there feeling GREAT.!
    Then when I called back repeatedly she was out to lunch, didn't arrive yet, was put on hold waiting for her, and on and on and on.
    Unable to get her on the phone.. When I mentioned that I wanted to purchase a TV unit, she then called me back. At that point I mentioned that I didn't want a TV unit, but wanted her to resolve the problem I was having.

    They were pretty nice during the sale process. Informative and not pushy. However, they didn't have the item in stock but said delivery would take place in at most 4 weeks.

    4 weeks go by with no communication what so ever. The sales person got pretty short tempered when I inquired about the delivery of the item I purchased. (Like 10 seconds into the conversation). He then insisted that he made no promise what so ever that he could deliver the item in any time frame. Didn't stop him from collecting the entire amount for the item and the delivery fee at time of sale. Ridiculous.

    I get it. a furniture store can't stock everything on the sales floor. Its just logistics. You think they would have to deal with that with enough customers that they would be able to handle customers through the process with some care.

    Don't bother buying things that aren't in stock. As the salesman admitted, they have no idea when they can deliver.

    DO NOT SHOP HERE.

    Please do not go here. This place is the worst store I've ever been to in my life.  Ha!  I was just trying to buy 2 cushions.  To make a long story short, after making 2 trips to the store in person, making 4 phone calls, after 2 1/2 weeks, I still did not get the 2 cushions that I had paid for.  The customer serve was horrible and they all should be fired.  I called them one last time and told them to forget about shipping my cushions and to just give my money back.  

    I will never go here ever again.  The worst customer service I've ever dealt with.

    Ordered a couch from them a month ago. Told will be ready definitely in a month IF NOT SOONER. Called and asked about my order 5 weeks after. The sales person, who was by the way very nice when I paid for it 5 weeks ago,  pretty much called me dumb for checking on my order. He was very impatient and said, "i just told you next couple of weeks. Do you need me to repeat again?" i wasn't even being hostile and i think i am entitled to check on my order after i paid for it in full. I have no couch at all in my living room right now and has been sitting on patio furniture for over a month now. The least he could have done was apologize. Clearly once you pay in full you are nothing to them.

    I purchased the Phantom couch and bench and love both.  Everyone compliments the comfort and look of the couch.  I was pleasantly surprised that it came with 4 cushions which are helpful because the seat is deep.  Quality is average but it is a great deal for a clean modern style.  The bench is nice and very sturdy.  It compliments my dining table with chrome legs.

    The service of the store is average.  As mentioned, they are helpful but not pushy during the purchase process.  Because someone at the store misinformed me about the details of my delivery, it caused a lot of frustration and confusion the day before my delivery.  In the end, everything turned out fine.  The delivery company was professional and courteous and they put my couch together quickly.  If you're in a rush to furnish your place, you should keep in mind that took over 2 months for everything to arrive since they are shipped from Italy.

    I can't say it was terrible customer service since I didn't receive any customer service. I wasn't even acknowledged walking in on a Sunday night with my lady and baby.  Some pieces looked nice but not actually very comfortable.  I wanted to ask questions but there was no one "available." The dudes there were too busy on their laptops.  There was a total of maybe 10 people on both floors.  After reading reviews of their delivery and quality I wouldn't even think of buying from here.  I give them 1 star for being able to have a place in Manhanny.
