Manhattan, NYMy go to pizza spot on the UES...Grandma slice is a winner and the regular slices are my hangover cure. The delivery is fast and on point and the oreo cheesecake is a great dessert even though Im not big on sweets.
Whole wheat penne pasta is great too. Ask ab their daily specials too. I even like the inside of the place. Nice and cozy! -

Brooklyn, NYNYC is full of awesome pizza places to gorge into cheese, tomato and flour with a myriad of toppings.
I stopped into this pizzeria for a quick bite to eat in order to fuel my body for a long night of debauchery. The variety of slices looked so appetizing but all I needed was just one, so I ordered a plain slice that cost me $2.75.
Nice, big, semi-greasy grandma slice of pizza that I couldn't wait to get my hands on and into my stomach. I peered relentlessly into the oven, waiting patiently for the slice to heat up. Out it comes, oozing of cheese and quite bubbly. Dashes of oregano, garlic, and parmesan and off I go.
I ended up with a slice that was somewhat crunchy but more rubbery. Cheese and tomato sauce were in harmony however, all I tasted was mediocrity. I was kind of disappointed because I passed so many places along the way. Guess you can't win 'em all. -

Manhattan, NYThe pizza was not bad. The food was not bad. the service was OK. UES prices. So, if you need a quick fix, fine. Otherwise, "not bad" is what you'll get. -

Manhattan, NYWas a little dissatisfied with the order. I placed an order for delivery and it was all backward, a wrong food was sent and the tiramisu looked like it melted in 60 degree weather!Comment from Frank L. of Delizia 73 Ristorante & Pizza 9/23/2013Hi Jorge, Thank you for taking the time to reach out to… More » -

Manhattan, NYWe love Delizas. We get pizza by the slices when we are tired or after a night of going out (closes at 2am). We are a fan of the veggie pizza and the tomato basil pizza. Recently had the veggie pizza roll, too, and that hit the spot! -

New York, NYMy boyfriend and I ordered delivery from Delizia. While the delivery was VERY slow, the calzone was awesome- the best I've had in years. Grandmas pizza you can pass on, it's nothing to write home about. For my main dish, I enjoyed whole wheat pasta with vegetables. The marinara was great, and I loved having a healthy choice in the midst of pizzas. I hear Delizia is also quite charming to eat at, so perhaps next time we'll dine in. Great place, something for everyone! -

OK, here it goes.....this is the best pizza I've ever had. Full stop. The crust is a bit lighter than your usual street places, the sauce is perfect, and their cheese is superb. There is a crispness to the crust but not the crackery, charcoal crunchiness of Grimaldi's and other coal fired places (which I'm not really a fan of) and at the same time there's also an incredible chewiness.
The fresh mozz and basil is particularly fabulous.
I can't say whether they can consistently duplicate the perfection I experienced since I no longer live in NYC, but I will give them the chance whenever I return. -

Manhattan, NYIf you come here I would HIGHLY recommend having them make you an entire pizza instead of ordering by the slice. My friend and I came here and we ordered a Fresh Mozzarella and Basil pie and I got a slice of white pizza just to try it out.
The slice came out first and it was so-so. Maybe I'm not big on white pizza, but it felt heavy and dense.
Then came the pie we ordered and I must say it was one of the best pizza's I've ever eaten. In fact, I regretted eating the slice first just because after my second slice of the pie, I had no more room. The sauce was divine--probably the best tomato sauce I've ever encountered and the cheese just perfectly balanced out the sauce. The crust was great too--not overly greasy but was a great compliment to everything else going on in the pie.
I thought it would be "boring" as it only had fresh mozzarella and basil (my friend insisted we order it as he is more of a fan of simple flavors) but the outcome was anything but. That pie made me re-appreciate quality pizza and I will definitely be back. -

New York, NYGreat pizza!
Grandma slice is delicious!
Fresh stuff all the time! -

New York, NYFor pizza in NYC, this is actually a good slice. I got there for lunch. Not much anymore because I noticed as the week progresses the specials take an oddly rhythm. Meatball parm hero then spaghetti and meatballs then Friday is spaghetti and meat sauce. So basically by Friday you got week old meat.
Order pizza and you'll be fine. -

At my friend's place, we ordered a pie on Superbowl Sunday to augment the great spread he already had out. Pizza arrived in an hour (expected during the big game) warm and delicious. Slices were very soft and dough, and flopping around every which way when held - if you're a hold in the air / fold-over kind of person, this pizza will not suit your style.
That being said, the slices hit the spot and were a welcome addition to our Superbowl party. Based on the other reviews, I guess I'd try eating there if I were to give them another try. -

New York, NYGreat, inexpensive Italian food. Surprised at the range of their menu outside of just pizza, but ironically their pizza menu is pretty small. Their salad bar is great, as are their soups. Will be back. -

Just OK all around. We ordered the margherita pie and the crust was good, but they're super skimpy with cheese and sauce. Rude! Took far too long for our orders to be taken or to get refills -- they're inconsistent with service.
Their Grandma slice is decent. It's a fair bet if you happen to be in the area, but it's not worth making a trip otherwise. -

Manhattan, NYAs a New Yorker everyone knows the best local pizza shops are found outside of Manhattan. After moving into the area a friend recommended this place to me. When you walk into the shop the pizza looked average, like any other pizza waiting to be reheated. After taking my first bite I was impressed. The crust had a nice charcoal crunch to it. The sauce was great as well. It was a perfect balance between crust and sauce. The taste is what you can expect from a traditional New York pizza with a Neapolitan charcoal kick. The pasta dishes were decent and I order it from time to time, but nothing to brag about.
