Time for Pizza Again: Vezzo!

I know a lot of people in the Kips Bay/Murray Hill area like this place, but I am not sure what Yelp will say.

So let's find out--well, this is another "thin crust" place ( going to have to find a thick crust place next)

Thinnest crust I've ever seen. IMHO good not great pizza. My fiancee LOVED it though, so maybe it's just a crust preference.

Tasty fresh mozz, fresh basil, I opted for the "Classic" - $20.  Kat went for Meat Lovers.  Both delish!  Bar staff was very nice.  Wanted to try the PB&Nutella&Banana Waffle as a dessert but missed it.  Also really cool that for Sunday they have brunch items - pancakes etc  (in case your Penelope reservation takes too long, this place wasn't over crowded and works for a good stand in)

    Nice choice

    Good pizza, but not GREAT.

If you love the paper thin pizza, I have yet to find anything thinner than Vezzo. But I do think it is a BIT overhyped here.

That being said, the truffle pizza is super delish (add prosciutto if you are feeling a little frisky)...But you can get a better pizza at Numero 28 (UES). Also, its a bit pricey.

They do have some excellent local beers at times (Sixpoint Sweet Action).

The wait staff is AMAZING though. I accidentally left my phone on a table and one of the waiters was nice enough to pick it up and put it in the safe for me to go back. This was a 64gig iPhone. Very nice.

Overall, you should def try this place, but dont expect the best pizza in the city, bc that's just stretching it IMO.

I went to Vezzo last night  with a friend, and have been thinking about it since!

Even though they don't take reservations, we were immediately seated outside upon arrival. (If the weather's nice, do try to sit outside... a much nicer atmosphere than inside the restaurant.) We had quick, attentive service, but did not feel hurried at all.

I ordered a Blue Moon and a Classica, and my friend had a Peroni and a Fafandone. Both of our pizzas were on the nine grain organic crust. My Classica was delicious - fresh ingredients, perfect crust, and served nice and hot. The Fafandone is topped with spicy Italian sausage this is hot, but not too hot.

I feel like this goes without saying, but Vezzo serves thin crust pizza.... not a good choice for someone who likes a ton of heavy dough!

Overall, I would be happy to return to Vezzo!

Rudest service I have encountered in any NY restaurant.  Went there a week ago with a large group and was made to feel very unwelcome.  It started with arguing with a member of our party with what we ordered.  Then any time the staff was asked for anything, it seemed to be a major imposition.  Need extra plates, etc. - well, lets just literally throw them on to the table.  Needless to say ending witha confrontation with the bar tender topped it off  (rude, rude, rude - maybe he should focus on his craft and not trying to look like Scott Conant).  The food was fine (at least no hairs in the pizza like at Tappo - yuck!)

I came here for a quick snack and the thin crust pizza is some of the best I've had. The cheese bread was also really really good and I would definitely recommend it. Price was okay but the service was really "eh". Don't come here on a date.

Hands down, this is my favorite brick oven pizza place of all times.

For starters, go for the Mediterranean Hummus. I personally don't like hummus, but Vezzo is the only place that makes it that good for me to try. I just ask them to put the olives aside instead of mashing it in the hummus.

Next off, their thin crust pizzas!! I love love love their Big Pinapple, Classica, and Shroomtown. It's meant for sharing and it's not overwhelming at all.

Just a side note, they don't accept credit cards for night deliveries. You would have to physically go to the place if you want to use your credit card. We used to always order from it at work, but it was a pain in the butt having to pick it up if we wanted to pay by card.

    ShroomTown is soooooo good!
The thinnest pizza I have ever seen! So good though, plenty of topping options to suit any taste. Inexpensive and always reliable in my opinion. I have never actually dined here, so with respect to carrying out, Vezzo has never disappointed!
This place is bomb, my fiancé and I are just as much in love with each other as we are with this pizza! -I can safely say that is not an exaggeration.
    Go, go, go!

Great pizza spot I've finally gotten a chance to try.  For 3 guys who were starving, we split 2 pizzas (the Meat-lovers and the Shroomtown) and 2 salads (the Caesar and the Arugula & Bocconcini Salad).  Salads are decently sized for the price, and the pizzas are thin crust but filling.  We probably would have been fine just ordering 1 salad and 2 pizza's or 2 salads and 1 pizza, but we indulged!  Minus 1 star because the pizza's came out literally 5 minutes after we began eating our salad.  I hate when places do this. The waitress probably should have timed our order out better.  But all things considered, everything was delicious.  Definitely will be returning and would love to try the brunch here sometime as well.
