Enjoy an art festival, catch a hammock nap, or take a spin on a unicycle! Ferries run from Manhattan and Brooklyn on the weekend schedule this Labor Day.

Unicycling Festival

The 7th Annual NYC’s Unicycle Festival rolls onto Governors Island this weekend. One wheel activities include basketball, sumo, hockey, a costume contest, workshops, shows, a learn-to-ride area, and much more. MORE INFO

Opening September 2
Imagine a Governors Island where you could work, learn, and play year-round. What would you do? Visit us at the #GovIsland365 Cube, an interactive chalkboard wall where you’re invited to write down your vision for a year-round Governors Island! The Cube is located near the welcome wall at Soissons Landing.

Geocaching on Governors Island

Through September 25th 
Explore Governors Island like never before! Geocaching is a scavenger hunt fit for the 21st century. Use the GPS on your mobile device to navigate coordinates and solve clues to discover hidden "caches" on the Island. MORE INFO
