Be one of the first to visit The Hills on Governors Island, as we kick off a week of celebrations! Join us on July 19 for opening day, and experience NYC's newest views. On July 20, for one day only, Governors Island will be open from Sunrise to Sunset. Weekday ferries will be free to all from July 19-22!

City of Water Day Saturday July 16th, 10am-4pm
The Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance's City of Water Day is a free, family-oriented celebration of the world-class potential of the NY and NJ waterfront. Highlights of the day include free boat tours on all kinds of vessels, from tall ships to tugboats; free rowing, kayaking, paddle-boarding; and the highly anticipated Con Edison Cardboard Kayak Race. Dysfunctional Collective Sat. & Sun. at 12:30pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm
The Dysfunctional Collective turns House 8B in Nolan Park into a grab box of art, poetry, dance, theater and song. Each week new works will be offered. Terry Williams, 1964-2016
We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved friend and colleague, Terry Williams. As Vice President for Facilities and Operations, Terry was our right hand, our left hand and our soul. The Trust for Governors Island is dedicating the Hills’ ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, July 19th to his memory. |
