Firefighters were called to Brooklyn for reports of a gas odor near the Buckeye Pipeline, one of the largest petroleum distributors in the area, officials say.
The FDNY says it was called to Junius Street and Linden Boulevard, and the leak was located and capped shortly afterward.
The Buckeye Pipeline delivers fuels to New York City and Long Island terminals and to both LaGuardia and Kennedy airports.
There were no evacuations because the area is mostly industrial, but traffic was affected.
