Today's ‪#‎FDNYEMS20‬ photo is of the 2012 FDNY EMS Week poster. EMS Week posters are unveiled each year as part of the FDNY's annual EMS Week celebration. This FDNY-developed poster features Rescue Paramedic Don Faeth and was unveiled at EMS Station 32 in Brooklyn. Each year's poster is intended to raise awareness about the life-saving work of the FDNY’s EMS members, and they are displayed in kiosks citywide.

All supplies were carried in a large black leather doctor's bag at the time, and between calls, interns would work in hospital emergency rooms. Photo credit J.P. Martin.
