Fred Hill Two reason I became a firefighter. Dennis Smith's book "A Report From Engine Co 82" and my late father who was a firefighter for over 36 years retiring as a Fire Chief. I am proud to say I was a firefighter. 🤗

So tomorrow is my 35th anniversary of starting as a full time Firefighter. One of the books that inspired me to do so was "Report From Engine Co. 82". So I had to make the pilgrimage to the Bronx and see the place myself. The guys there were very welcoming and showed me around. I've given the book to dozens of students and friends. In fact it's extra credit in my classes. I'm going to read it again when I get back. Thank you Dennis Smith!
