Firehouse Kitchen Talk Recap

               FHK1-newsletter 2
The first monthly FoF Firehouse Kitchen Talk on January 26th was a big success and a fun night for all. Fresh homemade pizzas were served up while active and retired firefighters had a chance to catch up with friends.  After dinner was finished, all enjoyed the highlight of the evening, a talk given by Captain John Vigiano (FDNY L-176 Ret).  He discussed the progression of FDNY Rescue operations, formation of the Special Operations Command and how the FDNY Rescue Companies have a positive impact on countless operations. He also spoke of his two sons, both of whom lost their lives on 9/11, in the way only a father and firefighter could. We would like to thank John Vigiano, Tommy Ryan, Danny Prince, Liam Flaherty, Dennis Amodio, Al Benjamin, Tony Catapano, and Pete Calascione for creating a great evening.  Its a testament to their hard work that over 60 active and retired FDNY firefighters were in attendance, just two days after digging out from a blizzard.

Be sure to join us for our next Firehouse Kitchen Talk on Tuesday, February 23rd from 7-10pm.
