This is an important program and one that should be implemented at every department.
Officials are now training firefighters to let them know it's OK to ask for help.

Patrick Murray It is not the calls that drives some crazy it's the management and back stabbing some of the so called brothers do to get to the top. Face it, the fire service is not what it was 25 years ago. Now it's first about the power then it's about the money never about the pride of service.

Tyler Walker So sad that it takes people killing them selves for these sort of programs to actually happen.

It may have been fictitious and sometimes unrealistic, but here's how the crew from Emergency raised the bar for the fire service:
It was a different place and time, but they were the best of the best and they set the bar high. Thank you station 51.

TJ Warder As a Firefighter / Paramedic I am honored to have 51 has my unit number. My dad has been in the fire service for little over 35 years. That's all I've known growing up and I remember watching the reruns on TV Land. Now every now and then I will catch it on Netflix

Neal Ross Attinson It streams on Netflix. We watch it every night with dinner. As a former fire reporter, it delights me to see how much of this show I understand from a "been there done that" perspective. My wife has a crush on Roy. (Not the actor, the character.)

Would you want a baby box at your station?
The agency was supposed to recommend standards so the incubators could be installed and operated safely, not decide whether they should be implemented.

James Brewer So, someone created these baby drop boxes and convinced the legislators to make a law, but the state health department says the boxes are unsafe. Perhaps the boxes should have been checked before the law was passed.

Ricardo Lebron It's hard enough to get the boys to remember to take out the recycling. I cant imagine if they had to check a baby box.

James Duggan In my area, we could have had arrived on scene, and the firefighters hooked into the hydrant with water going on the fire in the time this lady wasted.

James Duggan You knew it was a fire for 4 minutes before you dispatched engines? That is gross negligence. You deserve your punishment.

Rachael Darlene Jackson All these people being appalled at this guys statement very obviously don't work in a high volume system where you can get overdose after overdose for calls, and want to seem like they're perfect on social media. People in EMS are allowed to get frustrated and be HUMAN, it doesn't mean this guy didn't administer the drug or treat the patient. Jesus.
