End of basic training for Class 1/2016. Starting this week the recruit firefighters from Dublin, Limerick City and Louth are starting the specialised training of their course including breathing apparatus, haz mat and road traffic incidents.

Dublin Fire Brigade Hi Mick, we train firefighters from other brigades on occasion but not as a rule. For example firefighters are also trained in Sligo.

Irish Water Safety - Clare at Doolin Pier.
This large Survival box was washed away from under the Cliffs of Moher during storm Imogen. If seen along the shoreline, please contact us or Peter Conroy. It was placed there for any big wave surfer who gets washed into an area that's very difficult to get out of.
Firefighter/Paramedic Sarah Good based in Rathfarnam station is walking Glendalough National Park every day in February to raise funds for LauraLynn – Ireland’s Children’s Hospice.
Sarah may be recognisable to some from RTÉ One's Operation Transformation series. She promises not to be as tough on anybody who wishes to join her for the walks or donate to her efforts.
