The data on how often firefighters divorce may surprise you, and it offers three interesting take-away points:
The findings speak to the importance of looking at the data objectively, asking questions and being willing to see the data as the data.

Here's a look at why treating a firefighter with high blood pressure must be handled differently than treating civilians:
It is critical to have a fire department physician that understands how heat stress in a turnout ensemble influences the antihypertensive that a firefighter may be prescribed.

Dan Greenstein May hypertension found during rehab be possibly caused by the vaso-constricting gases often found in smoke, and not from exertion? In my personal trainer certification class, I was taught that systolic BP somewhat rises during exercise and there should be little, if any change in diastolic BP. Heavy exercise should not cause the extreme BP's sometimes found during rehab

The town is now left with only eight members and neighboring towns will cover its emergency calls.

Patrick Murray If they resigned then they should never be allowed to come back. You do it for your community not the management. Protest yes but to leave your community unprotected never. I do not condone this action in any way.
