Christopher J Bruns I was taught this by my first EMS/fire instructor, Jack Conners, "you cannot save everyone, and the sooner you realize that, the better. People die, every day, and you cannot stop that, all you can do is try to prevent it from happening. Just remember, humans die, and other humans can't stop it from happening." Tough words to hear your first class, except those words have helped me in my career.
