Police: Woman Jumps From Midtown East Building In Apparent Suicide, Lands On Man

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A woman landed on a pedestrian Friday afternoon as she jumped to her death in an apparent suicide in Midtown East, police said.
Police said the 56-year-old woman jumped from the third floor of a building at 903 First Ave., near 51st Street. The woman was killed in the apparent suicide, police said.
Police said the woman landed on a 71-year-old man walking on the sidewalk. He was injured and was taken to NewYork Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center, where his condition was stable, police said.
Police continued to investigate late Friday.
