Firefighters arrived within minutes, crawled inside and pulled the mother out but she had already died; a roof collapse kept them from reaching the children.
The father was airlifted to a hospital for treatment with burns, cuts and smoke inhalation injuries, and his condition was unknown.

Bruce Campbell Terrible tragedy. Prayers for the family and also the emergency responders. These incidents stick with the firefighters, during the Christmas season, it's very hard to get past the loss. God bless them all.

Allen Winters Had one of those many years ago....father and young son didnt come out. 2 ffs blown off front porch of trailor...went thru the back door and found dad holding son on bathroom floor....Soo close to getting out...

Brody Channell was returning from honoring his father who died in the line of duty when he pulled to the side of the road to help an officer performing CPR on an unresponsive infant:

Chantel Ramsay Santa has reindeer what was he doing with is car. The fitchburg fire dept had to rescue Santa off the fitchburg library and bring him to the upper common where he can set up the Christmas lights

Sandy Anders ornaments collected since my husband's rookie year, 1992 and 32 ceramics fire stations behind our Fire tree this year on display at his department! We decided to place our tree at our second home so all his firefighters (he's the chief) could enjoy it at our banquet last week! Several nutcrackers as well!!
