Salman Khan, who has a strong emotional side has often been in the news because of his candid comments which were misinterpreted by many. In the past, many of his B'town friends have expressed their opinion that Salman is the most misunderstood person by the media.
Salman, who seems unaffected by the fact that most of the times his sincere opinions and straightforward comments are misinterpreted, confesses of being conscious and taking an extra precaution to avoid such situations. The actor in an exclusive conversation with The Times Of India, spoke about how he feels when headlines are created to grab attention and his reasons for being away from unnecessary mistreatment of his words.
When asked about what runs in back of his mind when he gets to know about the misconstrued statements, Salman said, "Now a days, we have got cell phones and we get to know everything written about us. Initially, it was not possible. When media misinterprets what we have spoken, we get to know it. I don't find it necessary to react to these things. There are times when I need to react then only I react. There are times when I don't find the need to take on someone, who would not realise one thing that whatever he is doing is against all the fans and everybody."

He continued, "I don't need to give that person and an extra built up and an extra platform. Instead of walking with me, helping towards a better nation, they chose to do the opposite. It's their choice and if it does good for them and their ideology then it's ok. Let them write what they want. Everybody knows from what background I come from, what I believe in. Right from the most secular family to the charitable trust and what we do, my fans know all this."
However, with all the experiences in the past, when asked whether he restricts himself from getting candid and expressing his opinions, Salman was quick to add, " I just don't want people to misuse things for their own gains. Why should I make you make the money by putting me down?"
