#FDNY members from EMS Station 13 had a great time participating in the First Responders vs. Youth Basketball Tournament during First Responders Day yesterday at Highbridge Recreation Center. In attendance were EMT Randy Mercedes, EMT David Torres, EMT Benjamin Lusena, EMT Ziph Hedrington, Paramedic Anthony Paulino and EMT Luis Carrillo. Despite their best efforts, EMS Station 13 fell short of the Youth team, with a final score of 15-13.

Bill Butler gave his bunker coat, which he was wearing when trapped in the World Trade Center collapse on September 11, 2001 to U.S. Navy sailors from the USS NEW YORK (LPD 21). The USS New York (LPD 21) sailors stopped by Engine 48, Ladder 56 and Division 7 in the Bronx as part of their visit to NYC for Veterans Week.
