Answer: The United States Military Academy at West Point is a four-year coeducational federal service academy located in West Point, New York. “Duty, Honor, Country,” a striking expression of West Point ’s time-honored ideals, is the motto of the U.S. Military Academy and is imbedded in its coat of arms. According to archival records, the coat of arms and motto were adopted in 1898. In 1937, the U.S. Post Office issued a 5-cent commemorative stamp honoring West Point, which features West Point's motto, “Duty, Honor, Country” inscribed under its name.
