We are hitting planes, trains and automobiles today. Headed to Washington DC for meetings tomorrow.
If your union isn't advocating for re-authorization of Zadroga by going to Washington, walking into the Cannon and the Rayburn buildings and the like to meet with members of congress and or their staff, then they have failed you.
If it's not face to face in DC then it's a fail.

It's crunch time!!
Our friend and 9/11 leader John Feal was busy this morning.
He will be busy tomorrow making final adjustments to our meetings this Tuesday in Washington DC.
Plenty of work to be done. Not much time to do it.
We here understand the importance of keeping our friends updated of the process every step of the way.
The law that provides health monitoring and financial aid to 9/11 workers and their families expired at the beginning of this month.

Crunch time! This is one 14 year old issue that isn't going away. So a comment from these people running either in support of or not in support of would go a long way to us knowing what to expect moving forward.
9/11 is still alive and well. If you need 14 years to "still review" this subject, then maybe your not the person for the job.
At least eight responders have died since Sept. 11 this year.

For the few who think we are "clueless" and have "no idea how actually advancing legislation in DC works" we say again; WE ARE THE FOREMOST fire department group getting legislation done in DC. Along with the Fealgood Foundation.
We are back in Washington this Tuesday for more meetings off the heels of last months meetings.
We DO NOT consider unions or organizations that
-type up letter heads an...
