Police officers from the 70 Precinct in Brooklyn recovered a pink-colored firearm and arrested two suspects early Tuesday morning. Sergeant Henderson and Police Officers Defranco and McCarthy from the 70 Precinct responded to a vehicle accident with injuries on Rugby Road in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn. While the officers were assisting the injured passengers, they noticed the pink-colored firearm inside one of the damaged vehicles. The firearm was safely recovered and the two occupants of the vehicle were placed under arrest.

The NYC Police Memorial ceremony was held today at Battery Park City in Manhattan. Mayor Bill de Blasio, Police Commissioner William J. Bratton, members of the NYPD, community members, as well as family and friends honored 18 fallen New York City members of the Department. During the ceremony, the 18 names were unveiled on the memorial wall.

GROUP MARCHES TO RAISE AWARENESS/END VETERAN SUICIDE
The VEThack Foundation held their annual Ruck March to end veteran suicide on Sunday, October 11, 2015. The march started at the Columbus Circle Maine Monument and concluded at the NYPD 20th Precinct where the percent hosted a barbecue for the participants. Participants in the march included veterans who also serve in the NYPD.
