We regret to learn of the 9/11 related illness death of retired FDNY FF Dennis Heedles, TL-76. He was born in 58, joined the FDNY in 1982, assigned to L-168, 3 yrs later transferred to TL-76 in Tottenville, Staten Island. Dennis retired in 2002. He was diagnosed with 9/11 Lung Cancer in June of this year and died Saturday October 10th at 1230pm. Only months after diagnosed he was taken from us, and so young.
Wake is Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 at Hanley Funeral Home, 60 New Dorp Lane in Staten Island. Mass 10:15 A.M. St. Charles Church. Interment to follow at Ocean View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Uniformed Firefighters Association, 204 E. 23rd St. NY, NY 10010 c/o O.F.A. would be appreciated.
