OOPS! From the reports we have received, Texas Senator John Cornyn's phones have been destroyed this morning.
These people are going to learn the hard way. DO WHAT THE PEOPLE WHO PUT YOU IN OFFICE DEMAND OF YOU! NOT WHAT YOUR PARTY "LEADERS" ORDER YOU TO DO.
If nothing else folks, we hope our page has given you a disturbing view of how DC really works.
These people really do not listen to the will of the people. They are compromised by big money contributions and party loyalty.

Tim Flaherty It doesn't seem to matter what the issue is either. They get elected and then fall in line. They forget that We The People put them there to work for us. They would rather get the lobbyists hand outs and committee positions than vote for the citizens. It is time to reboot the system!!!

Yup! Get over it folks! 9/11 was 14 years ago.
This guy don't wanna hear about it anymore!
Well Mr. Cornyn, things may be bigger in Texas, but our Facebook page has 3 times as many followers as your does. So in this particular case, we are bigger than you.
And this morning and all week long our friends are going to call you and tell you that if you've gotten over 9/11 then maybe it...

WASHINGTON - First responders are in Washington again Tuesday to try to seal the deal for a permanent extension of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act, searching for the two senators and 16 representatives who would give them a majority of co-sponsors in each chamber.
Congress may be in recess, but lobbying of the members’ staff continued by the firefighters, police and others who helped out or were nearby and survived after the terrorist attacks hit the United...

Barbara Chapman Mccormack It amazes me that the people who voted against Zadroga and relief for Superstorm Sandy victims are now the ones calling for governmental assistance for flooding victims in the Carolinas. Talk about double standard
Here is what our "union" looks like. These ARE the ones doing 99% of the work to get Zadroga passed.
The phone calls of our friends and the 17 visits to DC (since January of this year) have been credited with the following;
202 co-sponsors from the House
58 co-sponsors from the senate (1 senate member coming on board during yesterday's meetings)
These are the men who have forged important relationships with members of congress and their staff in Washington. ...

Matt Raymond I don't understand the need to insinuate that the IAFF is somehow bad. My local has done more to protect my health and benefits than anybody. Got a problem with politicians? Fine, just don't throw our union under the bus to try to make some kind of point.
The New York City Firefighter Brotherhood Foundation Who's throwing who under a bus?
We are stating facts. If YOU think that stating facts is throwing anybody under a bus then there's not much more to discuss.
It's a simple concept:

Headed home from DC meetings. While some members took in meetings with the house of representatives, we were in meetings in the senate.
Productive meetings with Senator Alexander from
Tennessee and Senator Burr of North Carolina. We had a productive meeting with Senator Scott of South Carolina, though we do not know what to expect from him. Our first meeting was with Senator Enzi from Wyoming and we do not have a great feeling about that one.
Keep your calls up to these offices next week.
Thank you all!
