Tonight I had the privilege of attending the unveiling of Artist Tom Mason's oil painting called Night Tour, which honors the FDNY. The painting is displayed at the FDNY Rock. I will tell you more about the painting tomorrow.
Lynbrook Hosts Wounded Warrior Concert
On Saturday, September 19th, the Lynbrook Fire Department will host their Fifth Annual Concert for Wounded Warriors to benefit Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior. The event runs from 5 to 11 PM on a closed Earle Avenue in front of Truck Company's firehouse. The firehouse is between Sunrise Highway and Merrick Road. An entrance donations is $20 with free food, soda and water. Beer will be available. There are numerous raffle prizes including JetBlue and Southwest Airline tickets; a stay at Gurney's with wine tasting at Duck Walk Vineyards; Martha Clara wine tasting for six with limo; Billy Joel concert tickets; firefighter limited edition lithograph by Thomas Kinkade; dinners; and many more prizes.
