Firefighters rescued a worker trapped on top of a pillar at a construction site in Queens not far from the Brooklyn–Queens Expressway Tuesday, authorities said.
The FDNY tweeted a photo of the rescue after getting a call about the emergency near 56th Road and Laurel Hill Boulevard shortly after 12:15 p.m.
It wasn't clear how the worker got trapped; he was taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition.
