CONGRATULATIONS YOUNG GRADUATES!
Approximately 2,000 of New York City’s youths graduated the NYPD Youth Police Academy today in a ceremony at the Barclays Center. The ceremony is a culmination of the six-week program in which children age 10 – 16 spend their summer with members of the NYPD. The free program operates at sites in each of the five boroughs.

COPS IN QUEENS SAVE JET SKIERS FROM DROWNING

Dominican Day Parade!
Members of the NYPD celebrated their Dominican heritage today as they marched up Manhattan's Sixth Avenue in the annual Dominican Day Parade. The parade was led by the Department's Mounted Unit and featured great musical renditions by the NYPD Band.

COPS KEEPING QUEENS SAFE
Police officers from the 113 Precinct recovered a loaded handgun, drugs and forged credit cards on Wednesday August 5 around 1 p.m. Police Officers Derrick Coleman, Mathew Lewis and Michael Ferrari were on patrol when they noticed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on Sutphin Boulevard between Rockaway Boulevard and 123 Avenue.
