From our friend John Feal. Rest in Peace Captain.
Friends - We have lost another Hero! Captain Tommy Thompson FDNY has passed from 9/11 Cancer! The loss of life continues, the pain and suffering in the fragile fraterinty of those effected by 9/11 toxins continues, and sadly we will lose more good men and woman, uniform and non uniform because this disease does not discriminate, take a holiday nor care about your rank, title, gender,etc.. it only cares about about taking you from your friends and family! We honor the Captain on September 12th at 10am to ensure no one ever forgets the courage, honor and sacrifice of yesterday's heroes!

Courts uphold Veteran's Preference for entrance exam for Boston F.D. Unfortunately, that's also hurting minority hiring.
Over the last dozen years, the number of black firefighters has dropped by a quarter in the Boston Fire Department.

  • Paul G. Carey Nice having it as the FAMILY BUSINESS, we have had 11 members of our family serving on the Boston FD over 4 Generations, and 2 family members serve in Virginia Beach and Hampton, VA. It must be a family ILLNESS, having this overwhelming desire to run inside of burning buildings LOL !!!!!!!
