  • Eric Jones Outsourcing EMS in a small department/town has some real advantages. May be woth considering.
  • Randy Allard once again politicians doing what they want and no recourse for them. The council clearly has the best interest of themselves first and the hell with the citizens. Where were the cuts to other areas in the city before they attacked emergency services. I hope between the lawsuits and the voters idiots like this will be sent a big message when it comes to election time.

For nine days in May, some 40 fire fighters joined 52 others in building a new house for Jason Smith, who was severely wounded while serving overseas, his wife and their new baby girl. The project was organized and led by a new charitable organization, “A Soldier’s Journey Home,” run by Mike Fitzpatrick, former president of Frankfort, KY Local 1017.

MDA Summer Camp Celebrates 60 Years of Service MDA
Kids with neuromuscular disease discovered a world created specifically for them at Summer Camp at Macleay Christian Retreat Center in Oregon. MDA campers dream about summer camp all year and often say it’s better than Christmas. Some even say it’s changed their lives. Almost all campers agree that it’s "the best week of the year." July 15 was designated Firefighters Day, which began with a fire truck parade, followed by water games with water balloons and fire hose. During lunch, fire fighters visited with campers and gave fire truck tours. The day concluded with fire fighters competing in a belly-flop contest.
Marion County, OR Local 2557 took part in hands-on activities with the campers alongside fire fighters from other neighboring fire departments.
