Opposition extends lead over ruling party - poll

Main opposition, conservative party Law and Justice (PiS) is leading poll with a 47% support, followed by ruling liberal-conservative grouping Civic Platform (PO) with 30%, a July poll conducted by GfK Polonia showed.

Support for PiS increased by 4 pps month on momth, for PO by 1.5 pps.

Also the still-to-be-established grouping of Pawel Kukiz, the recent black horse of the presidential elections, would make it to the parliament with 10.5% support, down by 4.6 pps.

Other groupings wouldn't make it past the 5% threshold for parliamentary representation: junior coalition partner Polish People’s Party (PSL) support was at a mere 3.7%.

The poll was conducted on July 10-14 on a representative sample of 1,020 adult Poles.
