MY NEW VIDEO; GENTRIFICATION MOVES ALONG IN MANHATTAN VALLEY

Gentrification is coming to tenements in Manhattan Valley, where building above used to look like building below, which has already been cleaned up a good deal over what it was a year ago

And a typical kind of old store

Central Park West, which was considered off limits way to the North, has come back with condos costing millions...such as this place which was once a spooky old castle out of a horror movie..

The Center of this area is where the 24th Precinct Station, the Firehouse, the Bloomingdale Library Branch and the Public School cluster on West 100th Street near Amsterdam Avenue

Scaffolding is all over, because the City plans on doing something, but just WHAT is not clear...the whole area around Frederick Douglass Houses, with its gangs and shootings etc etc
( and where " all the s-it happens at night") remains in stark contrast to the Columbus Square development to its South

On a Sunny day, Central Park West is extremely inviting and as I noted is being revived to its farthest upper reaches

And Central Park Remains a nearby respite...with its ponds and brooks...
