Skipping FDNY Open House- This is NOT Kips Bay with friendly Firehouse

I am sick of reading about how NYC Firemen keep complaining about the official Open Houses today and how they are not "circus clowns" etc.

Only in NYC would you get such a sh*t attitude.

I have met some pretty obnoxious and surly Firemen around the local station house but would not want to tar them all with the same brush...

I am staying away though, I can sense the place is not basically a friendly atmosphere.

This is not some place like Nevada City, CA for instance.

Or Kips Bay, either, where they are friendly to people in the neighborhood.
