The Italian Coast Guard has rescued almost 3,700 refugees from the weekend overcrowded boats off the Libyan coast. The application is still going on, said a spokesman with the Coast Guard on Sunday.Let there be expected that more refugees would have to be brought to safety, since presumably many tractors with their boats were on their way because of the calm lake. The nationalities of those rescued were not known.A total of 13 boats were discovered. One had been spotted by a French ship that was traveling on behalf of the European border agency Frontex.
